SERVICING
We also carry out servicing of watering systems to check they are ready for the upcoming growing season. We also make recommendations for how often and how long you water your lawn and garden for. This will optimise the growth of your plants and lawns.
It makes sense to have your systems working before Spring and Summer so your garden is ready for the first hot days. We can advise on watering programs so that you water less in the colder times of year when the plants need less, thus saving water.
If you’re not sure what type of watering system you have, contact us or use the images below as a guide.
Pop up sprinklers are used to water lawn areas. When not in use they sit below the grass level protecting them from damage. When turned on the water pressure causes the nozzle to rise up and the water is projected over the lawn area.
The nozzles can be damaged by lawn mowers or other garden tools. The nozzles can get blocked by dirt. They are easily fixed.
Garden Spray systems are used to water plants in garden beds. These can be damaged by garden tools or the nozzles can become blocked by dirt or even ants. They are easily fixed.
Drip Irrigation is a poly pipe with built in dripper devices under the hole as seen in the photo. These deliver a slow and steady soaking of the garden bed and also can be used under turf. In gardens it is best used under mulch, preventing evaporation.
Drip Irrigation is mostly damaged by garden tools making holes and is easily repaired.
